Sailing Update | Tongyeong

Team Tongyeong has had damage to the port side rudder of its yacht whilst racing. It is unclear what caused this. The rest of the yacht remains undamaged, and everyone on board is safe and well.    Whilst the top half of the damaged rudder is still currently working, a benefit to the Clipper 70s being designed with twin rudders is that the second rudder is still fully operational    The yacht will now use a reduced sail plan and the team continues to make good progress towards Seattle.
