LATEST ETAs to Hobart

30 December 2015

The Clipper Race fleet is still being led by ‘local Girl’ Wendo Tuck on Da Nang Viet Nam and is hurtling towards a finish just before 1600 local (0500 UTC) at more than 12 knots when the predicted light winds failed to materialise.

GREAT Britain and LMAX Exchange are around 14 and 17 nautical miles behind and due over the line just over an hour later.

Please note that the four boats in positions 4th to 7th are so close together all within 1.5 nm so it is very hard to split them at this stage, hence the variation in positions from the Race Viewer standings.

In addition, both Clipper 68s are doing very well and look likely to finish between 2000 and 2200 this evening ahead of at least two of the 12 Clipper 70s.
