Today the race’s Official Learning and Development Partner and Team Sponsor, Mission Performance Limited, officially named its yacht entry in St Katharine Docks, London, ahead of its upcoming race campaign.

The Founder and Chairman of the Clipper Race, Sir Robin Knox-Johnston joined Founding Directors of Mission Performance, Rob Lewis and Christiaan Mcleod, to christen the 70ft ocean racer, Mission Performance. The team is competing in the race for the second consecutive time.

Rob said: "We are really happy to be involved as a Team Sponsor for the second time. We are looking forward to supporting our Mission Warriors as they battle Mother Nature's toughest conditions over the next 11 months."

Mission Performance Limited has been transferring the lessons learnt from challenging environments to business for the last 14 years. It operates globally with a group of elite mountaineers, decorated soldiers, ocean rowers, pilots, polar explorers, actors and elite sportsmen and women. It continues to develop its ocean racing adventurers through its Mission Performance Skipper and crew.

Mission Performance Skipper, Greg Miller, a former Army Sergeant, said: "All of the crew have been working really hard during training, and they have really enjoyed it. We are in the final preparation stage now doing last minute jobs and are very excited about Race Start.

"We are all racing to win," Greg added.
