Race Start Day: Welcoming the Clipper Race Teams

An amazing, colourful and very loud Race Start day down at Gunwharf Quays.
Clipper Race Teams were paraded to the mainstage to the sounds of Batala Portsmouth, before they joined together on stage to soak up the atmosphere and wave off family and friends who were amongst the crowds that had gathered.

A perfectly sunny send off, Skippers, AQPs, circumnavigators and Leg 1 crew from each yacht were cheered on to the soundtrack of their team song before they made their way back to the boats to start their epic journey.
